Welcome to Team Firefly!

Meet the Team Firefly adults:

Curriculum:

Over the course of this year, we will do lots of different work about fireflies! During the Autumn term, our topic will be 'Ruthless Romans'. We will be learning about how the Romans invaded Britain, what new buildings and inventions they brought to Britain and what life was like after they left.

P.E.

Our P.E lessons will be on Wednesdays and Thursday. Please ensure your child has a P.E kit with trainers or plimsolls to change into on these days.

Times Tables

In Year 4, the children take part in a times tables check towards the end of the year. We want to make sure all the children in Year 3 and 4 are prepared and confident when it comes to this check so we will be doing lots of work on times tables in class. Please support us with this by encouraging your child to access Times Tables Rockstars at home.

Spellings

The children will be given weekly spellings to practice at home on paper or on Spelling Shed. Also, we are encouraging the children to read at home daily. Please log any reading they do at home on Boom Reader, let one of the adults in Team Firefly know if you need a new copy of their login details.
