We are pleased to welcome Miss K Cook to Springfield Academy from September.  She will be teaching in Nursery and conducting PPA through some other year groups too.  We are very excited to have her join our school.

Dear parents and carers of Team Sunflower

My name is Miss Philpott and I am delighted to be joining Springfield Academy in September. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach in Sunflower class for 3 days a week and will be in class on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and all day on Thursdays and Fridays. I am looking forward to joining the team here at Springfield and getting to know all the children.

I am originally from Southend in Essex and came to Nottingham to train to teach at Nottingham Trent University specialising in science and PE. I have been teaching for 15 years now and have previously worked at Stanstead Primary and Forest Fields Primary. I have taught across the whole primary age range from nursery to year 6 and have enjoyed leading PE at my last school, providing opportunities for children to experience a wide range of sports and competitions.

I have three daughters called Sienna, Suraya and Sasha, aged 12, 11 and 4 who keep me very busy! They love to do dance, swimming, gymnastics and art. I enjoy going to the gym and playing sports such as badminton, table tennis and netball. I used to play football for West Bridgford Ladies but I’m a bit old for that now!!

I am looking forward to getting to know all of the wonderful children and parents at Springfield, especially those in Sunflower class, and working in partnership with you all to ensure your children are happy and receiving the best education. I am sure you will all make me feel very welcome!
