We want to emphasise that the decision to place your child in a class with pupils from a different year group is not a reflection of their academic ability. By combining Year 1 and 2, and Year 3 and 4 children, we can better tailor our teaching methods to meet the unique learning needs of each child.

Our curriculum and delivery is designed to challenge and engage at each appropriate year group level, and all pupils are taught the curriculum for their own year group within the mixed class. English and Maths is taught in small groups called ‘Core Skills groups’, ensuring that each child, within their year group, is appropriately challenged and motivated to excel.
