The P.E activity for today is to ask someone to practice tossing and catching with you. Keep your eye on the ball as you move your body to the ball.

Our next topic is 'Where do we need farms in the UK?' I will be setting work each day on here and also on Class Dojo. There will be a maths activity, a writing activity which is based around this new topic, a VIPERS reading activity, a grammar/spelling activity and an exercise activity each day. Please ask if you have questions about any of the activities.

Friday 17th April - Create a 'lift the flaps' book for a Nursery aged child. You might choose to do a story you have read or make up your own story. Below are some photos of lift the flaps books for inspiration, you can also Google 'lift the flap books' if you want more ideas.

Thursday 16th April - Research how different countries celebrate Easter and create a leaflet to show the information you have found out. Don't forget to use subheadings and to decorate the front cover. This CBBC Newsround website has some great information about celebrating Easter around the world, but feel free to add any other information you find out yourself. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/47975475

Wednesday 15th April

Write a letter to someone in your family that you can't visit right now, tell them what you have been doing. Remember to use the features of a letter such as starting it with 'Dear' , explaining why you are writing the letter and ending it with 'Yours Sincerely'.

Reading Bingo Challenge!

Tuesday 7th March

Teach me something! Research something you are interested in (it could be anything; a sport, a hobby, space, an animal, a country etc.) Find out some interesting facts and use them to create a video. Send me the video on Class Dojo so that I can learn some new things too!

Hi Year 6, I hope you are all safe and well! I will be setting a piece of work for you to complete each day, throughout the Easter holidays. Please feel free to send me a message on Class Dojo if you have any questions or are unsure what to do. I look forward to seeing your amazing work! Your first piece of work is to create a 'Spring scene in a box'. I would like you to create a setting which represents Spring, maybe you could find things in your garden to use in your scene! Below are a few examples.

Year 6 have started making our phone cases today!

Our secret reader today was the Lord Mayor!

We have investigated the effect of exercise on our heart rate.

To launch our new topic 'How do humans survive?' we made fossils, completed a virtual tour of the Galapagos Islands and took part in a survival experience.

Our 2 page reports about the plague!

Team Chameleons are very proud of our display for our topic 'What would I do if I was ill in the past?'
