Thursday 14th May - Today, the P.E activity is to have a three legged walk with someone in your house. Remember to keep going on Spelling Shed, Maths Shed and Times Table Rockstars.
Friday 8th May - The P.E activity for today is rainbow run. Ask someone to shout out colours, you have to run and touch 3 things that are that colour. Today, there is a creative task, a positive thinking activity and a reminder of extra activities you can do to earn Dojo points, but it is a bank holiday so feel free to spend the day doing other fun activities together instead!

Wednesday 6th May - The P.E activity for today is to find a big blanket or towel and lay it on the floor, stand on it, move it and then fold it up a bit. Can you still stand on it and move it? Repeat this until it is too small to stand on.
Monday 4th May - The P.E activity for today is to do log rolls, find a safe space in your house to practice rolling like a log, in a straight line.
Here is the timetable for this week. Fridays are going to be more creative work days from now on, so you will see there isn't a maths, grammar, reading or writing task on Friday, instead that is when I will set a creative task and an activity to promote positive thinking.

Friday 1st May - We have a hive game today at 12pm, 2 Dojo points will be given to anyone who takes part. The P.E activity for today is to use a laundry basket or bin and some scrunched up paper, try to throw the paper balls into the basket.
Thursday 30th April - The P.E activity for today is to work on the idea of big and small. Do big jumps and small jumps, big movements and small movements, big steps and small steps, make yourself big and small.
Monday 27th April - Here is the work for today, I can't wait to see what everyone produces because you are trying so hard at the moment, keep it up! The P.E lesson for today is to visit all of the windows in your home, when you get there jump up and stretch as high as you can go.

Tuesday 21st April The P.E activity today is to join in with Joe Wicks at 9am on Youtube. Remember to send me your votes for our class book, I will announce the winner later!
Monday 20th April Here are the activities for today, some of the activities (like the maths) are split over 2 photos so that you can see the questions more clearly. The P.E activity for today is to ask someone to practice tossing and catching with you. Keep your eye on the ball as you move your body to the ball.
Our next topic is 'Where do we need farms in the UK?' I will be setting work each day on here and also on Class Dojo. There will be a maths activity, a writing activity which is based around this new topic, a VIPERS reading activity, a grammar/spelling activity and an exercise activity each day. Please ask if you have questions about any of the activities.
Friday 17th April - Create a 'lift the flaps' book for a Nursery aged child. You might choose to do a story you have read or make up your own story. Below are some photos of lift the flaps books for inspiration, you can also Google 'lift the flap books' if you want more ideas.
Thursday 16th April - Research how different countries celebrate Easter and create a leaflet to show the information you have found out. Don't forget to use subheadings and to decorate the front cover. Write a letter to someone in your family that you can't visit right now, tell them what you have been doing. Remember to use the features of a letter such as starting it with 'Dear' , explaining why you are writing the letter and ending it with 'Yours Sincerely'.

Use the facts you researched to create your video (plus anymore you might want to include) in a 2 page report about your chosen topic. Don't forget to use subheadings, decorate your report and use your best handwriting.

World Book Day!
Team Chameleons dressed up as characters from Mary Poppins and completed lots of work based on the book.
Team Chameleons enjoyed our R.E lesson, finding out what different religions believe.
We discussed whether the Highwayman deserved to die and whether we thought he was a criminal or not. We all took part in a ‘conscience alley’ where a child acted as the conscience, walking through the alley of people and listening to their arguments.

We have investigated the effect of exercise on our heart rate.
Year 6 have completed a perimeter investigation today.
Team Chameleons enjoyed our skipping workshop with Mr Dan the skipping man! We learned fun new tricks and built up our stamina.
To launch our new topic 'How do humans survive?' we made fossils, completed a virtual tour of the Galapagos Islands and took part in a survival experience.
