The children were tasked with creating an algorithm to make their character/characters move and to make one of them speak via a speech bubble or a recording. Here is one of the projects.

The aim of this introduction, was for the children to think of specific instructions they wanted the 'alien' / computer to do. They were given a specific task of instructing the 'alien' to cut a piece of paper into two triangles. They initially thought that this task would be simple. However, the 'alien' could only do - exactly - what the instructions from the children told it to do.
