Christmas Adverts

We watched this Christmas Advert by John Lewis and spoke about what was happening and giving gifts to those you loved. The children used this as inspiration for making their own advert using the Stop Motion Studio app.

Wednesday 16th September 2020 - The Great Fire of London

Today we started looking at The Great Fire of London and sequencing the main in events in groups. We know it started on Sunday 2nd September 1666 in Thomas Farriner's bakery on Pudding Lane. It spread quickly because of the wooden houses and strong wind. People tried to escape the fire on the River Thames. Eventually, the fire was put out using water and pulling houses down to create gaps. We know all about this because a man called Samuel Pepys kept a diary.
