2.7.21 Whole school assembly outside! We loved seeing everyone and loved singing and dancing!

29.6.21 We had Herman the tortoise come and visit us for the morning. We had lots of fun and learnt lots about looking after tortoises and we got to stroke him too!

On Wednesday 23rd June we learnt more about our

CLASS READS author Michael Rosen.

We loved listening to his books read by lots of the Early Years staff

but we loved it even more when he read them himself!

Then on Friday 25th June we chose our favourite book

Little Rabbit Foo Foo

and thought we could have a go at making our own version.

We listened to Michael Rosen reading it and then we changed some of the words to make it all about REPTILES.

We then had lots of fun drawing our own illustrations

and we acted it out too.

Our impressions of a Goonie!

18.6.21 We have been talking about and creating our own patterns this week and we had a go at using things that we could find in the hall to make big patterns. It got very loud but we had lots of fun and made some fantastic patterns!

Monday 14th June

Topic Launch Day

We introduced our new Topic of ANIMALS by looking at reptiles and answering the big question Why don't snakes have legs? We read the story Snake Supper by Alan Durant and then explored what we already knew about snakes.  We made patterns, created our own snakes and had a go at being snakes. We will now be looking at other reptiles to find out what they have in common.

11.6.21 The Euros 2021 has started! We learned about the competition by watching newsround, designed our own footballs and Mrs Page's group won the marble prize so they got to have a go at shooting at goal. Well done to Kerryn for volunteering to be goalkeeper!

10.6.21 This week we have been talking about being kind and what that looks like in Team Rainbow. Our Kindness Tree is up and we have already begun to collect a leaf every time we get 'caught' doing something kind. Mrs Page has challenged us to fill the tree before the end of this half term!

9.6.21 Our traditional tale this half term is Three Billy Goats Gruff. We had fun retelling the story and all of the children wanted to be the troll! :)
