22nd July 2022
As part of our topic on animals we took the children to the
National Adventure Farm
Although the weather was hot we had an amazing experience and saw lots of different animals, including reindeers and took part in different activities throughout the day.
Please take a look at the photos below to see what a lovely day we had.
THANK YOU AGAIN to all of the parents who came with us.
We could not have done it without you!
7.7.22 Rainbow day
We had a a fabulous morning celebrating all things colourful.
We read a wonderful diversity story, Black is a Rainbow Color by Angela Joy, all about seeing different shades of black in the environment. Then we got busy playing colour bingo, painting and collaging rainbows, colourful paper weaving and bubble painting.
Finally we did a colour science experiment, looking at how to turn a white flower to a blue or red flower.
7.6.22 Our Inspirational Person.
On Tuesday afternoon we learnt about the inspirational person Andy Murray.
We learnt that he is a professional tennis player. Andy has won 2 Olympic gold medals and was the first British person to win a Grand Slam since Fred Perry in 1932. We watched him winning Wimbledon and talked about the points system. We also learnt that he is passionate about women being fairly treated in tennis and other sports. We also had great fun working together to practice our tennis skills, some of us were able to have a rally of 5 and 6 hits.
