WORLD BOOK DAY – 7TH MARCH 2019

As part of our drive to maintain, promote and engage pupil’s interest in reading, we are hosting a World Book Day on the 7th March.

On this day, the children will have the chance to dress up as their favourite character from a book. This year, to make it more engaging for the children, the class teachers have all decided to choose a book that their class will be focusing on. The books chosen are:

Team Rock and Roll: The Enormous Turnip

Suggestions – A Turnip, Old man and Woman, Dog, cat, mouse
Team Disco: The Gruffalo

Team Country – Charlie and the chocolate factory

Surrounding this, each class will be completing activities and creating aspects of their costumes e.g. masks. This is to ensure that every child will have something to wear on the day.  Leading up to the day, each class will be discussing what costumes could be worn and ideas will be thought through so they have an idea what they could create at home.

Yours faithfully
